Ducks sign Saku Koivu

Saku Koivu has been picked up by the Anaheim Ducks. It seems to him like yesterday he joined Montreal’s quest.

Koivu spent 10 seasons as the Canadiens’ captain, but now waves “goodbye” to the Bell Centre, and “hello!” to the Honda Center. What could this mean for the Montreal Canadiens? Nothing good.

Sure, the Canadiens signed Mike Cammalleri, Brian Gionta, Jaroslav Spacek, Scott Gomez, and Hal Gill. But they could’ve gotten more. Instead, they let go both Alex Kovalev and Koivu. My suggestion: Sign Robert Lang.

In other NHL News: The Dallas Stars now have goalie Alex Auld from the Ottawa Senators.

Atlanta and Chicago both re-sign players. And that’s it for now.
